HOW DO I FIND MY RIGHT SIZE?

How to take your own measurements:

Take a measure tape of a string and measure the length from the bridge of the nose vertically down to the chin and horizontally from cheek to cheek across the tip of your nose.  The mask measurements are shown flat so see how long the string is and compare it to our measurements. Keep in mind that our dimensions are the maximum length vertically and horizontally.  All of our mask expand and contract so being a little under is perfectly fine and actually ideal! If you are at the max, it's time to size up. Elastic ear loops are extra long to give most wearers enough wiggle room to adjust (with a knot) to fit your unique face perfectly.

ADULT size typically fits most unisex faces. The female model shown is wearing ADULT. LARGE ADULT size is best suited for larger features and/or facial hair. The male model is wearing LARGE ADULT. There is no standard industry sizing for masks, and like clothing, each shop will have their own sizing specs. Please use our measurements solely for our masks and vice versa.

*What is Non-Woven Spunbond Polypropylene?

In a nutshell, your filter inserts (each mask comes with 2)  is thermally bonded to create a non-woven material that’s tear and puncture resistant, water resistant, non-irritating, fiber glass free with excellent breathability. When laminated with a PE film, the penetration of fluids and bacteria can be prevented, making the product especially useful within the medical industry. They are washable and reusable many times over. Read on for care tips.

SHIPPING

If your item is ready to ship, lead time is 1-3 days. MADE-TO-ORDER items can take up to up to 10 days due to the high demand and our small batch production process. 

DOMESTIC USA SHIIPPING FLAT RATE is based on total weight of your order. Total cost will be displayed during checkout. Most face mask orders will fall under 6oz.

UP to 6 oz - $3   USPS FIRST CLASS (1-6 Days in Transit)

8 oz. - 15 oz. - $5.50   USPS FIRST CLASS (2-6 Days in Transit)

1 lb. and OVER -  $9.50    USPS Priority Mail ( 1-4 Days in Transit)  

ALL weight -  $10   UPS GROUND (1-5 Days in Transit)\

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING is variable and will be calculated during checkout based on weight and destination.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY MASK?

HAND WASH ONLY
To avoid damaging and to extend the life of your mask and filter inserts, hand wash, reshape and hang/lay flat to dry. Warm iron if needed. Never iron your filter inserts or elastic. Trim your filter to fit filter pocket.

HOW DO I INSERT THE FILTER?

We provide 2 filter inserts cut to approximate size. Cut and trim insert to fit inside filter pocket. Expand mask and insert the filter one end at a time, making sure the edge of the filter lines up with the edges. Hand wash and air dry after every use. Your filters should last thru many washings.

**Face coverings are final sale due to health and safety reasons. We do not make any claims to the medical benefit of face masks purchased from our shop.

Where are your products made?  

Every piece is designed, hand cut and sewn in North Carolina. We take pride in using traditional old-world techniques to craft high quality, sustainable garments that are made to last. Our small batch production sells quickly, so if your item is on back order, you may wait up to 2 weeks for your order to ship. You will be notified if this is the case. 

What kind of fabrics do you use?

We use high quality jersey fabrics that are soft and comfortable to play in. Fabric content is featured on our product details page. To learn more about our environmentally responsible fabrics, please visit Our Fabrics link.

How should I care for my garment?    

Due to the quality and type of fabrics we use, you can rest assured your garment will wash and wear beautifully. For all garments, we recommend machine washing in cold water/tumble dry low or hand wash/line dry to give mother earth a hug!

What is your shipping policy?   

DOMESTIC USA SHIPPING 

ALL Domestic USA shipping is a flat fee of $6 under 2lbs. / $10 over 2lbs.       

In stock items are shipped within 1-2 days from purchase date excluding holidays and weekends. Small orders ship via USPS First Class and multiple item orders typically ship via USPS Priority Mail, dependent on weight. Your cart will automatically update shipping cost as you proceed through checkout.  This is subject to change due to promotions. For special shipping request, please contact us.  

**We want to keep your shipping cost as low as possible. INSURANCE is OPTIONAL at an additional cost. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Unfortunately, packages can go missing, so please take that into consideration. If you'd like to add insurance, please contact us and we will adjust the cost accordingly.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We ship worldwide. Your cart will automatically update shipping costs as you proceed through checkout.  International shipping generally takes anywhere from 7-21 business days, though may take longer. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay any customs and duty fees. Should you deny any charges, your order will be considered 'abandoned' and will not be refunded or replaced. Occasionally a package may get lost in transit. We DO NOT accept responsibility for missing or lost packages shipped overseas. Lost or missing packages will not be replaced. If you want to insure your package, please contact us prior to purchase so we can arrange another shipping method for you. 

Should your order contain any back-order items, your entire order will be held and shipped in its entirety. 

* WE WILL NOT ALTER CUSTOMS FORMS to reflect a value different than the amount paid by the purchaser as doing so is a federal offense. 

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes! After your order confirmation email, a separate email with tracking will follow. Please check spam or junk if you don’t see the tracking email in your inbox. 

 

What is the return/exchange policy?

We are confident you will love your OLIVE + LOU! However, we understand mistakes, change of heart, fit issues happen. Whatever the reason, we will be happy to accept a return/exchange when it falls under our policy outlined below.

Returns

ALL sale items are final sale. 
Returns are accepted within 10 days of receipt, as long as it is unworn, unwashed, in the original packaging with verifiable proof of purchase. Shipping costs on returns are the buyer’s responsibility; unless the return is a result of our error (i.e. you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.) Please email us at help@oliveandlou.com for further instructions before making any returns. 

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified via email confirming receipt and a credit will be applied to the original method of payment. If the return is not a result of an error on our part, the shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.  Please allow time for package transit and a week to process your refund.  

Final sale (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Can I exchange my item for another color or size? 

If we have it in stock, yes! The returned item must be in new condition with tags attached. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
